Ian Hall's BRAND Hospitality Group (BHG) has assisted in the design and build of a new outdoor dining space at The Exchange pub & kitchen. The Exchange pub & kitchen opened its doors in downtown New Albany in December 2012. The new addition will be anchored by a new indoor/outdoor bar and Private Dining Area, complete with a custom 18 foot bar, outdoor dining area with community tables, with additional seating for up to 75 guests.
The 1800 sq. ft. outdoor patio will serve their rotating seasonal food and beverage menus though out the day, offer dining options for lunch, dinner, and late night. Designed by BRAND Hospitality Group, the patio will anchor the corner of Main and West street and will become a fixture in the downtown food and beverage scene. BHG worked with local architect Ron Stiller and developer Steve Resch of Resch Construction on the design of this new space.
The patio will feature an indoor/outdoor bar and dining space that will be utilized year round. There will also be outdoor fire pits, soft seating areas, and community dining tables for guests to enjoy seasonal dining.
Ian Hall will be joined by Executive Chef Matt Weirich, Beverage Director Brian Keeler, and General Manager Levi Donaldson who will oversee the new addition to The Exchange pub & kitchen. Owner Ian Hall said, “We can't wait to introduce our new outdoor patio to the community. There has been a void for true outdoor dining and social space in downtown New Albany, and we feel this addition will offer another dimension to our business at The Exchange. We couldn't be more excited to get this project wrapped up and crank the garage doors open. When people see what we have done with this addition they will be amazed that this was just vacant lot just 8 weeks ago.”
Hall and BRAND Hospitality are also currently overseeing construction of another downtown project that will be opening late fall 2015.
